In 2022, the number of podcasts increased by 20%. This is a staggering number that no doubt indicates the future of an ever growing industry.
Another statistic? According to Pew Research, 29% of Americans listen to podcasts to stay up to date about current events.
So, what does this mean?
The point is that the rise of podcasts has had a significant impact on American politics, revolutionizing the way people consume and engage with political content.
Podcasts have the power to mobilize people, inform citizens, and educate all while filing the gaps that traditional media may lack.
They have also become a source of inspiration for individuals around the world seeking to engage in activism and advocacy. In terms of accessibility and convenience, podcasts allow more people to be reached and impacted.
Though some might argue that the podcast space is becoming oversaturated, our network sees this growth as an opportunity to change the way citizens consume news and create a better, more well informed society.
